We come here all the time. And we have a favorite bartender. His name is John. They have great book themed cocktails, named after Dr. Seuss, hemmingway, and more.
The mocktails are also fabulous 👌🏼 Good vibes all around. Can't wait to come back soon!
Thanks bartender John

We hosted a bridal shower yesterday at the Library Cafe in Farmingdale for my daughter. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The staff were friendly and professional and the food was great. The restaurant which has its own unique fun vibe allows you to add your own decor etc to make the experience more personal.
Everyone had a great time!
Thank you Melissa & Kate & Hannah. 💕

This was a refreshing experience after a "wellness walk" thru Geiger Park and gardens. The food selections would suit all pallets. Excellent cobb salad, one of the best I've ever had and I've had pleny. Fresh greens, avocado, egg, tomato, bacon and grilled chicken and no blue cheese or black olives. My friends equally enjoyed their Buddha bowls and fried chicken sandwich. Let's not forget the blackberry lemonade. Will definitely go again. Service was excellent we were checked on frequently. Thank you.

One of my absolute favorite bar/restaurants in the town of Farmingdale. The food is superb and the drinks?! Don't even get me started on the drinks! Easily, some of the best drinks I have ever had. There isn't the widest selection of seating but if you can get in you're in for a treat!

Great bar and restaurant with a really welcoming atmosphere. The spinach artichoke dip is honestly some of the best I’ve ever had rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced the chips are fresh and is great with the pita as well. The tuna poke tacos were also amazing, super fresh with great texture and flavor. The bar itself has plenty of space, so even when busy you never feel cramped or crowded. The dining side has a good mix of tables and booths, making it comfortable for both smaller and larger groups. We were able to walk in and get seated immediately with no wait, which was a huge plus for a busy night. Parking was also surprisingly easy between the available street parking and nearby municipal lots. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, and the overall vibe made it a place you actually want to stay and hang out for a while. The drink menu also looked great, and the overall prices felt fair for both the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Definitely somewhere I’ll be coming back to for dinner, drinks, or even just appetizers at the bar.

Atmosphere and good food meet in a historical location. Variety of food and drinks, great service all around, my dish came in quickly and tasted great.
Had an apple tart which was nothing short of wonderful.
Visit this place at least once - you will not regret it

I was in town for business from San Antonio and checked this place out after walking the street deciding where to dine for lunch. I immediately felt comfortable and was impressed with ambience and decor of the restaurant. The bar is impressive with the bottles placed so high a ladder is necessary to reach their height. My server was very polite and very pretty which enhanced my dining experience. I ordered the Chorizo Bolognese with Burrata and enjoyed a first class meal. The sausage had a small hint of spice and the sauce was not at all heavy. More like a cream after I bursted the Burrata ball. A very enjoyable and memorable visit I will share with everyone I know. Highly recommend a visit to this establishment.

I have had lunch at Library Cafe several times and the food is fantastic. I really enjoy the fish and chips with their coleslaw, tartar sauce and malt vinegar. Their All American burger is very good with a beer at the bar.

Phenomenal place to have a lunch date or meet a friend. Their salads are truly my favorite. Including the taco one. They also have this apple tart dessert. Dream come true for the taste buds. Also, have to note that the servers are ALWAYS so friendly and sweet. Never a bad experience here. Come by and have a good time.

I was actually on my way to a different coffee shop, but anyone with an advanced degree knows there’s simply no legal way to walk past a place called “Library” without investigating. Academic instincts took over.
Very glad they did. The food was excellent, the cocktails surprisingly creative, and the atmosphere felt effortlessly polished. The crowd had that unmistakable old-money energy — relaxed, well-dressed, and completely unbothered by the outside world.
The music selection leans toward modern pop and R&B hits, but in a good way: familiar, upbeat, and perfectly suited for a long downtown afternoon. Not every café needs to pretend it curates underground vinyl from 1974.
The coffee itself is fairly standard, which honestly was the only thing that didn’t fully stand out to me. Fortunately, the cocktail menu more than makes up for it and gives the place its own personality. Wi-Fi is available and stable enough to spend a few productive hours here — which, apparently, is exactly what I ended up doing.
All in all, a stylish and comfortable place that understands its audience very well. Definitely recommended if you appreciate good atmosphere, strong drinks, and a touch of civilized downtown elegance.
